friend photography.

I have a friend, Ashley, who has a up-and-coming photography business.  She took pictures of little man last year that I used as Christmas present for the family. Considering my son looks the other way when cameras are pointed at him and the fact that the particular day we went to have pictures done, he decided to cry pretty much the whole time; the pictures came out amazing.

On her blog, ashleyerinphotography.wordpress.com, she was doing a 365 day projects (trying to anyway) where she took photos of someone of importance in her life, one a day for 365 days. I was day 19. I absolutely love the pictures she took of me.

imitation uglydolls.

Heard of uglydolls?

They are so ugly its adorable. (even with a big price tag) I obviously thought it was worth it, cause I still got one for my little man. And I bought the first three "graphic novels" for myself.

look at all the characters..

Not wanting to pay another $9.99 for a small felt "doll" made me kick up my crafting abilities; deciding to make my own, this is how it came out.

Not my best work, but I still think it came out fairly nice.  Think I'll try my luck again with the extra felt.

our memorial day.

On memorial day we took the peanut to Uncle Mic and Cindy's.  They live on a farm about 45 mins away from where we live.  Though it was extremely buggy we had a great time.
D and dad.  (All bundle cause of the black flies.)

"Baa" as Danate calls them.

So interested in the sheep.

us.

Enjoying his "pop" after being outside.

We had so much fun. Hopefully its not so buggy next time!

Boy, n.: a noise with dirt on it.

Within the last few weeks I've really started to realize I don't have a baby boy anymore... he's turned into an actual kid. Its crazy. How is my little boy growing up so fast?

Best Friends.

Relaxing in mommy and daddy's bed.

We'll never forget the day you were born.

The same day our lives changed forever.

Love you Dantae!

“a mother's heart is always with her children.”

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day.

I wanted to be able to post this yesterday, you know on time for mother's day; but I was to busy making the rest of my mother's day craft/gifts. Between the two cats, the (almost) two year old, and my procrastination it becomes difficult to finish anything. But here it is only a day late.

Here's my little helper.

"Say Cheese."

The red/pink one was the first I made.
(Bad blogger, didn't really plan out the pictures.)

The second one was blue/purple.
(couldn't resist a sherlock cameo.)

 The third another blue/purple combination.

I got this idea from Danielle at D & G Stories. She has tons of cute ideas, check her out!
She used the same tutorial for the felt rosettes but I figure I should post that too. Check that out at Mrs. Priss.

We delivered them all yesterday. (my mom, mike's mom and mike's step-mom.)
Hope they loved them.

little boy's sanctuary.

So even though the kitchen (close) and our bedroom (barely there) aren't finished, (I'm the master of starting projects.) I have already started the browsing for ideas on Dantae's BIG boy room. Mike would really like him to have a car bed; I plan on getting soon at a local second hand shop. So I'm thinking of going from there with a car theme. All boys (even big ones ) love cars.  Below are pictures I've found that inspire me.

I really like the idea of the road map design on the wall. And the headboard made from license plates.  Plus all the bold, primary colors are what I picture in my head.

This is the type of car bed I like. Pretty basic. (Mike will want to sticker it up on his own.)

after 20 mins. of looking at google images...
I started writing this with the car idea then I saw these pictures. Needless to say, new ideas are brewing.
And we all ready have..

I'm definitely liking the music idea and a chalk wall, I would have loved that as a young girl.  More on what I decide later. Pictures of the kitchen and bedroom will be posted soon.
